Bipolar disorder sucks. Dealing with K's (my partner's) illness as a caretaker has stretched me further than I ever thought I could. The pain, exhaustion, frustration, fear, and seeing K suffer through the worst of it was nothing I thought I could survive. We've made it and continue to thrive together and face the challenges of her return to stability. That said, everything in here is only based on my experience caring for one individual and is not a professional's advice.
About Me
- Name: synergy
I'm L, and I'm in a relationship with a same sex partner suffering from bipolar disorder. The frustrations, pain, joy, and grief all come out in this blog. All of it is anonymous due to my partner's (K) request to keep it confidential. We aren't shy about talking about it, but we are not ready to fully go public. This is written with K's knowledge, but she does not usually read the blog.
